Our Courses
For us, responsible brokerage means making sure every seafarer is safe and
competent. We don’t just sell boats, we care that you’re skilled enough to
handle them.
We have partnered with trusted Royal Yachting Association training schools
to uniquely offer a simple skills assessment. Whether you’re new to boating
or wish to train up your crew, we can find the right course for you.
Own boat training
If you have just bought a boat and would benefit from on board training, we can provide you with an RYA instructor to literally show you the ropes. This is the fastest way to build confidence on your new vessel and gain an understanding of how your boat handles and getting optimum performance from her.
Sailing Courses
Competent Crew
Designed for beginners and those who wish to become active crew members rather than just passengers. By the end of the course, you should be able to steer, handle sails, keep a watch and assist in day-to-day routines as directed by the skipper.
Day Skipper
This course allows you to take charge on short passages under instruction. You’ll focus on pilotage, boat handling, seamanship, and navigation.
RYA Yachtmaster and beyond
For more adventurous voyages and mastering boat handling in challenging conditions, the RYA Yachtmaster course includes a classroom-based theory exam followed by a choice of coastal, offshore, or ocean certifications.

Powerboat Courses
Level 2 Powerboat Handling
Grasp the basics and learn to master boat handling with this two-day entry-level course.
Intermediate Powerboat
A step up from the Level 2 course, aimed at those who want to operate larger and more powerful powerboats. This course serves as a solid stepping stone to the Advanced Powerboat course.
Advanced Powerboat
Covering both theory and practical modules, this two-day course is for leisure and professional boaters aiming to undertake more adventurous trips by day and night. It includes at least one night navigation exercise and provides an RYA Advanced Powerboat certificate which can then be upgraded to a commercial license.
Shoreside Courses
VHF Radio
If you have a VHF radio onboard your boat or carry a handheld VHF while on the water, you need to hold an operator’s licence. Get qualified with our one-day course and exam.
First Aid
This one-day course covers all standard first aid subjects from a boating perspective. With MCA approval, it satisfies the requirements for Coastal Skipper, Yachtmaster, and Advanced Powerboat certificates of competence, as well as certain commercial maritime roles.
