True North Yachts has its roots set deep in 20 years of boating knowledge, from technical, boat building, engineering and marina services. Based in Dartmouth, covering South Devon and Dorset, we also list boats from worldwide locations.
A few words from our founder, Claire Lindquist
Sailing has been a lifelong passion, sparked in the Menai Straits where I learned the ropes on a barebones yacht with a “let’s put a sail up and see what happens” mindset. Those early, adventurous days laid the foundation for a life on the water. In more recent years, aboard more substantial vessels, I’ve explored all corners of the Mediterranean and the azure shores of the Caribbean—dividing my time between boatyard projects, yacht deliveries, and the joy of social sailing.
Navigating a Better Way Forward
The idea for True North Yachts was born out of countless stories I encountered during my travels—many involving buyers being sold boats beyond their ability to handle, sometimes with dangerously close calls. With a deep-rooted career in the marine industry and a desire to bring a more honest, client-focused approach to yacht brokerage, True North Yachts was created—to guide, advise, and help others find the right boat, the right way.
